Response from the Ministry of Education - Assistant Deputy Minister regarding parent appeal for help with school closure issue - basically "As this school planning process is within the Board’s jurisdiction, the Ministry of Education will not intervene."

2003 Minutes from a University Neighbours Association (UNA) meeting where Henry Ahking (VSB Planning) iis quoted as saying that "the high school is not so obviously necessary, because many families with small kids will eventually move to other neighborhoods." An interesting bit of history

"VSB has a fair bit of experience with such forecasts and is reasonably confident as to its predictions. New developments generally cannot meet demand for schools. It is an indicator of a successful community.
